Jarrah WoodThe main characteristics of Jarrah. (Eucalyptus marginata). Jarrah is a wood grown plentifully in Western Australia. It is also known as the "mahogany gum tree". The wood is of a reddish-brown colour, heavy, and close-grained: jarrah is easily worked, and receives a high finish under the plane. These important and desirable properties render jarrah very suitable for good joinery. |
