Hall Bench PlanPLATE X. The design shown in this plan is for a settee or wooden bench without storage of a simple and substantial character suitable for an entry hall way. Fig. i is a front view, and Fig. 2 is a vertical section, in which the construction is clearly shown. Such other details of the construction as the amateur joiner may require are indicated by dotted lines in both the drawings. Any desirable wood can be used; but American oak will be found quite satisfactory, stained any tint and wax-polished or oil-varnished. The design can, of course, be carried out in any length desired.
